I'll want it in a bedroom that currently has no cable point, am I right in thinking the installation tech will just run an an additional cable from the omni-box round the outside of my house and drill through the wall to add an additional cable point in the bedroom?

I think it depends on what's easiest, but the way you've described is how they did mine.
