The BBC are to discuss HD regional versions of BBC One next year, so I agree for the main channels a swap does seem some way off. As for all the others, they could be moved anytime.

VM are placing the bulk of the HD channels in a certain area, so who knows for sure what their plans are, it may be a HD channel zone as you suggest rather than a swap, or neither.

In any case, VM have a larger problem at hand to deal with. The entertainment section is almost filled up. If +1 and HD versions of all existing channels launch, there is no room for them and certainly no room for new channels.
