I'm assuming you did ring 'retentions' ie. the 'thinking of leaving option'. I love the sad recorded voice that comes on initially "so you're thinking of disconnecting your services" - she sounds devastated and as though you've just thrown her mother in the river.....
It sometimes pays to ring back another day if you don't get the deal you want . You could call their bluff and give your 30 days notice, they might change their tune. You can always cancel your cancellation a couple of days before - but I think you'll find they'll contact you before that. |
