Re: Number Three coming up [Boris Johnson]

Boris has been ok as Mayor. Both he and Ken Livingstone deserve a great deal of credit for the Olympics and Crossrail. Boris' new routemaster buses look very nice as well. A brilliant combination of classical London buses with a modern design. It was a good policy to introduce them: http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/london/h...00/9180067.stm

That said he is pretty immune from criticism. Some of his mistakes are the type that people would be splitting blood had it been a Labour mayor. The Emirates Sky Ride has been a disaster. A massive white elephant that cost millions. It's a slow sky lift between two places that few people would need to commute between. I believe it literally has less than 10 regular commuters. I am surprised that he has avoided attack for it. The Evening Standard was vicious towards Livingstone, they would be pilloried him for such a scheme.

Still Boris has done well and was rewarded for it.
