My son, also an Aspergers sufferer, goes through dietary fads on a regular basis. I think he picks up on things in the media or internet.

Among the recent ones are: drinking plain, boiled water; not eating egg yolks; not eating bread; starting to drink wine; fussing over every minor ingredient; drinking herbal teas; rejecting all meat, then craving meat; ditto cheese; ditto crisps; chilli in all forms.........

His weight has slipped down a little to more "normal" but he seems healthy.
