I don't think BT are likely to be willing to pay the money needed to win the majority of Premiership rights at the next auction.

At the last auction they, BT, won the most that they could, and so did Sky AFAIK, as the deal was that one broadcaster could have all but one "first pick" bundles and at most all but one bundle of other matches, too.

I think the real danger for Sky is that BT focus their money on selected "first pick" bundles and/or certain other pack bundles that Sky end-up paying over the odds for those and the rest of the packages.

<I work for Sky so I'm biased obviously! but this is how I see the bidding war playing out. Sky did outbid BT last time, but next time if they (BT) focus their bids on certain packages then they could seriously damage Sky for 3 years at least>
