Hello,
I recently moved into a new (but rather old) house and had the whole place rewired. The only thing that was left the same was the BT master socket. When I plugged my router in I received very slow broadband speeds at every phone point in the house (including the master socket). When I unscrewed the face plate of the master socket and plugged the router into the 'test socket' I got normal speeds again. Presumably this means that the master socket (or at least the connectors on the face plate) is past its best and needs replacing (either that or my electrician hasn't put it together very well.....). Anyway, when I looked into buying a new one like this:

I noticed that there are only three or sometimes four connectors and I have six, with six wires connected. Do I only need to connect three wires for phone and broadband? If so, which ones?! I've attached a picture of what it looks like at the moment.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
