Just explain that you are trying to help VM standerdise their equipment base and it'll cost them less in the long run.
I'm pretty sure the 500MB Tivo doesn't have an activation fee and you'll already be paying an install fee so you just need to try and get the extra £11.50 reduced (although even then I think the multi box charge is already included in the bundle so it may only be an extra £5).

Have to say with the offers going around for new customers at the moment make my offer many, many years ago of a free box (I still payed for the install) when I joined seem pretty rubbish in comparison and makes my previous view that "we all got a deal when we joined so shouldn't feel hard done by that new customers get deals now" seem, at best, a little out of date.
