That BT 330MB article was from January 2013 so looks a trial to me and you've found the latest offering ianch99.
Interesting to read from the ISP Review it is only available to around 100,000 houses right now (I call that an extended trial) and only has 20MB upload so not even 10:1, see
http://www.productsandservices.bt.co...aster-internet
BT Infinity 3 (160MB max) is the equivalent product to VMs 150MB new service but even then it is down to availability.
Just checked my area on the availability link in the above web site and for my location (Nottingham NG2) I only get 45.2MB and 8MB upload which must be the best I can get from Infinity 2 in my local area.
I'm currently on a rock solid 60MB from VM and will be upgraded to 100MB next year which will probably match what I would get from Infinity 3 (160MB, but should be around 95MB for me if I only get 45 out of 76MB max on Infinity 2) if that was launched in my area as it is not available at my post code on the BT site. I note the ISP Review also stated Infinity 3 is also only available to100,000 houses so there is some way to go before BT makes these large scale viable products and they are likely to be costly for some time yet so not mass market appeal anyway I guess.
Naturally I am very happy with VM therefore!
