Just so you know...but 31 days in the minimum notice you can give Sky. You could actually give 365 days notice if you wanted to (policy change since August this year). However, you cannot change your package, order pay-per-view or use SkyGo within any notice period you apply.
So
If you definitely want to cancel you can give your notice any time. They will try to tell you it's a 31 day notice period but if you state that you know about the new rules they should apply your notice anyway.
Any ETC applicable is only the amount of time you have left in the minimum package you could subscribe to for that period, so £21.50 per month or £32 per month if you are in a HD contract. For tel and broadband contracts it is much less than your normal monthly subscription as it's only allowed to be the cost they would incur minus any savings they would make by not having to provide that service anymore.
So it's very unlikely to cost anything near £100 with only 7 weeks left. £50 at most I'd bet.
