Bit hypocritical from HBO really considering they told Netflix that they would never have HBO shows , although with the growth of Netflix exploding the way it has HBO are back in talks with Netflix. So you ever know.
How would launching HBOUK get their content seen by a wider audience ? Netflix reported in August 2013 it had 1.5 million UK subscribers for a service priced at £5.99 how many do you think would subscribe to HBO at a premium price for just their content , nowhere near that many in my opinion. Sky's deal with HBO ends in 2015 although its worth remembering Sky Deutschland also have a similar deal with HBO for Sky Atlantic in Germany.
