To be honest Virgin Media and Now TV are totally different demographics. Now TV is for people who want premium tv but don't want to pay a premium or be tied into an 12 month contract. Virgin is for those who want access to everything and are willing to pay and be locked in for it.
If Sky were clever (which they clearly are not) they would do a deal for Virgin to have the Now TV app on Virgin Tivo, but Virgin would say no. This makes wholesaling the channel to Virgin Media makes perfect business sense.

Do sky really need the extra revenue, thought they made shed loads of retail subscriptions .
