Ahhh I mean't purely on storage space. 24 episodes would be 16 hours and 9 series is only 144 hours. Maybe it won't be such a strain on the TiVo just trying to find enough time to watch them all (I am assuming that Lifetime have the rights to show all 9 series.)

There has been talk for a long time about the X-Files being remastered HD. I've heard they are planning to start releasing them early next year.
An old article, and the rumours I've heard about early next year come from some blu-ray and HD forums, but I can't remeber which ones.
