Oddly enough, all the same arguments were made by the CBI with regards to the Euro. It didn't happen. In fact, being outside the Euro has saved us from a far greater calamity than we have suffered since 2008.
The CBI likes the EU because its heavily regulated single market favours large businesses of the kind that are CBI members.
