I think that's most peoples complaints about this thread. Everyone builds up expectation and then it turns into belief that it going to happen with no firm proof. No confirmed channel launches, it's morphs into fact as 'everything will be hush hush' Nothing said - it must be happening. (I'll be the first to publicly apologise on here should anything arrive.)
Nothing but nothing can be relied upon or taken as gospel due to 'insiders' proven by the point further up of previous 'no channel launches' immediately followed by PS and Fox+. If there are 'insiders' providing information, then judging by those very examples, they are no more in the know than anyone on here or indeed the general public at large.
I still think SA and the other missing channels are a good way off since the NowTV expansion has been announced. I personally think that Sky would be crazy to give this anything less than 12 months and then see how the land lies. They can see their subscriptions will start to slow down and this is a way to boost their numbers and presence. It's certainly not a short term gamble.
As people have said, Sky doesn't need VM as much as VM needs Sky and with Skys quarterly profits round about 60% more than VMs, subs increase per 1/4 around 4 times as many, I can't see this changing anytime soon
