I would not say it is that foolish, our prices went up a lot last year. I think VM had lined up lots of the new channel deals LG have pushed through and probably did the same with Netflix.

If you think about it, it would have been easier for VM to sell the company by saying "we have lined up all these deals and have got the money already in place for you guys to finish the deals, get a good reception from customers and take the business forward." I doubt they would have said to potential buyers "we have no deals lined up, and have annoyed lots of customers by putting up prices for reason - good luck with that"

As such some of the increases from last year may very well have been allocated for Netflix to be included free on XL.

I could just be talking complete rubbish though!!
