keep getting this error on my NTL and Yahoo mail accounts but my other account with my web host is working fine

are you using pccillin at all?
just had someone with this error - caused by pccillin. try disabling email scanning then test. if after re-enabling it fails again uninstall/reinstall pccillin
make sure pccillin is up to date and run a full AV scan afterwards
