I'm not surprised at that. I reckon it's probably the case that most people still watch sd variants live, and make tea in the ad breaks as well. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, but that doesn't mean there's a good argument for more sd channels or extra commercials.

What I'm saying is that there are already ways to achieve what +1's aim to achieve, but do so with more flexibility, and also with better quality, although I accept that's not necessarily the priority for most. I can't understand the clamour for them. They don't add new content, they're not in hd, and Virgin already offer a range of ways to time shift your viewing, including the provision of a set top box which resolves the recording clashes which appear to be the main reason people want them.
