Not really true.

Say I have a single program scheduled for 8pm and three scheduled for 9pm.

Suddenly the 8pm program is going to overrun and the dynamic EPG kicks in. Which of the three 9pm programmes gets dumped? The lowest priority one, which may or may not have a repeat.

If the lowest priority programme doesn't have a repeat, having a dynamic EPG directly results in a programme never recording.

I'd rather have the current situation where my 8pm program is truncated but at least I get my three programmes at 9pm.
