The only problem in what he said is that he didn't take into account the possibility that you can be English/British without having been born here. If someone moved here at the age of 10, lived here since, and took nationality then they're English/British. Nationality is a product of where you live and with whom you identify, not what bit of land you were born on. If anything someone who moved here, likes it here, and took the nationality is more British than most us as they worked for it and wanted it. The rest of us were just lucky.
