Maybe however that wouldn't add much value to Virgin customers. Say for example SKY Atlantic launches at the end of this month on Virgin, in time for series 4 of Boardwalk Empire, what use is that to Virgin customers who have never seen the show and can't go back and watch the first 3 series? They are very unlikely to start watching knowing they've already missed about 36 episodes.

It's the same with most shows on SKY Atlantic at the moment. They are all into series 3, 4 and 5. Understandably some people might have been buying DVD boxsets of these shows over the past 3 years, or downloading them illegally, so are able to jump right in should Atlantic launch. I can only guess however that these people are in the minority.

If SKY Atlantic does launch the on demand content is a must in order to get people interested and watching the shows. Without this, what's the point?
