Those rights aren't cheap. That's why the Sky Movies option on Now TV is over double what Netflix charge now.

I too doubt they will win many major first window subscriptions, for £6 a month. Just like SS are very unlikely to lose the best 1st pick premier league games whilst BT sport is only £12-£15. Sky will hold the upper hand for a long time still.
It would be nice, however, for a company to take them on and give customers more choice and better value. Even if Netflix decide they have to charge £10 a month (like lovefilm) so they can get more film rights as well as decent independent or foreign films ahead of Sky (in the future) and acquire decent TV content ahead of Sky, it will still be a better and cheaper option for me, and probably many, many others.
Any films I missed at the cinema and am desperate see as soon as they come out, I will simply continue to rent them from Blockbuster, where I believe they still come out before Sky get them (am happy to be corrected on that though.)
