Legal advice for Damages

I'm having some work done to the outside of my house, new guttering, downpipes, rendering and so on and today one of the work men had an accident and i was a witness to it because i was standing talking to a neighbor who also saw it happen.

They were taking down the scaffolding and me and my neighbor were talking and looking at the work and one of the workers turned suddenly swung a scaffolding pole and it hit the Satellite dish off the wall and it hit one of his colleges on the head and caused a nasty cut which he needed to be taken to hospital for.

What i'm wondering is this...

Am i liable for the costs now to have the dish repaired and reput back up or are they since they are the ones that did it.

Because his accident happened on my property even tho it wasn't my fault could i still be liable for any costs if he decides to sue.
