The movies may be cheaper if you have SS, but you then have to pay a large sum for the sports channels. If they can offer Sky movies at £7 (probably to cover the costs of the channels and/or make a minor amount of profit) for SS sports customers, it suggests (to me) they could cut the cost of the movies for non-sports customers too, rather than seemingly rip-off non SS customers who can live without sport but love their movies.
Still, people keep paying it, so they will keep charging it!!!

Not entirely sure of the deal they have, but I guess when the current deals are up, Netflix and everyone else will be looking to challenge Sky for the rights then.
