re: GTA V (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC)

Again none of them have had this level of hype around them. This is, at best, a slightly better version of GTA IV. Again this is a good game, it deserves to seen as a solid, well-executed, sequel to GTA IV. It doesn't belong in a list of the greatest games of all time, it doesn't deserve to tbe game of the year. Neither of this are big marks against it but that's the yardstick by which I measure it.

I'll keep playing it, at least until Beyond Two Souls comes out, and it will always be Grand Theft Auto. It's just I came into this expecting it to be something else, something amazing and game changing like playing the PS2 versions.

To be honest I don't think GTA IV was as good as the PS2 versions. GTA III was amazing, Vice City used atmosphere in a way I hadn't seen, San Andreas was a crystallization of those two breakthroughs. Since then I think they've played it safe.

Good games, but not innovative or different.

Last Of Us is a example of this. It changes what you expect from games and raises the standard for everyone else. GTA used to do that.
