The wireless side of the SH2 will have nothing to do with the Bristol local head end. If there was a head end problem, it would affect the modem side (the general broadband sognal) and any SH2 reset will take wireless out until a few minutes after the reset has occurred.

What problems might there be at the head end? Your segment could be connected to a Motorola BSR which is known (IMO) to have had problems at the DOCSIS level with the SH2. The tirallists had a specific TEK event (and reset) only if they were on a Motorola BSR.

That's the only thing I can think of being within the engineer's meaning and I don't see how it can affext wifi if everything else continues to work.
