Re: Do you ever knowingly break the speed limit

Living where I do, almost the entire road to anywhere is national limit, although the road itself rarely permits that sort of speed. However there are a couple of places where the limit drops to 40 as the road passes a couple of houses and I tend to let the car slow naturally as I approach those, rather than screaming up to them at full pelt and then slamming the brakes on. As often as not that means I pass the start of the limit doing 45 or a little more and don't reach 40 until I'm about a hundred yards in.

Mind you, from occasionally using a sat nav I know my speedo consistently over-reads by almost 10% so I'm probably not going over the limit after all.
