When TV Anywhere launched there already was an iOS app made by Tivo available, and VM were allowed to alter it for their needs.
An Android version was only released by Tivo in January this year, its very likely that they wont have given VM access immediately and therefore VM cannot even start working on the app until this point. VM have streaming in their app which the original app does not have so requires a lot more coding and Digital Right Management Restrictions, which is difficult when there are so many different Android devices a round .

Surely it doesn't matter if Android has 1 or 100 devices around, it still runs iOS be it ICS, JB or the up and coming Kit Kat version. Apple has the IPhone 3, 4, 4s, 5 and the up and coming 5s. What's the difference?
