According to Tiz's link, Win8 is growing at 0.5% per month, or 6% per year - so it should take around 16 years or so....

The figures are not a surprise but the results are not as bleak as some are making out.
People loved XP and it still has a massive market share, As does Win 7 due to the fact it had much better optimisation over Vista and of course XP got long in the tooth and held back advancement.
Like it or not in a unknown number of years time there will be a need to move forward to keep up with the tech I am sure in 5 years win 7 will have XPs seat in the market share Win 9 ,10 or whatever will have taken win 7s place and there will be haters for the next need to change whether its win 11 ,12 etc. The thing is with an over 90% share 17% profit increase does anyone really think M$ is in any kind of real trouble?
