Which is exactly the same for Atlantic, The 'Specialist' part relates to shows broadcast by the US cable networks, primarily HBO. These are different to the US broadcast network shows in that they are often grittier and don't have to worry about the type of content that wouldn't be allowed on US Network TV. Many are also Highly regarded, award winning shows.
For some unknown reason Sky have also chosen to put some US Network shows on Atlantic, which really belong on Sky One or Living, but that doesn't detract from the original premise of the type of specialised content Atlantic was set up for.
One of the reasons that Atlantic is sought by many on VM is that Atlantic is the only place to get these US cable shows. Netflix and Lovefilm will often get the US network shows eventually, but Atlantic is the only place that I am aware of to get HBO shows. And before anyone says Blinkbox, that is way too expensive in my view.

Mod's given my stance on Young_Timbo, if people feel I have stepped over the line, please feel free to take retrospective action.
