Charlie Hills' Cable Bay made him pull out all the stops, but Saayerr (5-1) always appeared in control and struck by a neck. The first two pulled two and a half lengths clear of Thunder Strike but the 2-1 favourite, Figure Of Speech, missed the break and was always on the back foot
