Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

The way I see it is this - whatever people think of TiVo, it has been good enough to reduce churn for Virgin Media to Sky, a company which owns loads of content and is the major sport broadcaster in the country. It really is THAT good. As long as it continues to be developed then I think it will probably be good enough to see off Horizon if put up against it in the same market. My hope is that Liberty Global will consider the success of TiVo and not automatically side with their own existing product. If, by virtue of the fact that Horizon has been developed by the company which effectively supplies Sky+, the products become virtually the same on cable and satellite, then Virgin's technological advantage will be lost and people will go to the company with the best content. And that is, whatever your bias, Sky. I can see cost advantages for Virgin Media to eventually migrate to Horizon - I'm not sure I can see many others.
