Missus and I watched BBC3 almost constantly when it first launched. The other day I suddenly realised that we no longer watch anything on it any more and most of the schedule either makes me cringe or else roll my eyes at the yoof of today. But seeing as missus and I are about 10 years older than when Three launched and are both beyond its target age demographic, I guess this is just a sign that they have got their audience pretty well pegged out.
I would watch loads of stuff on Four but most of it would bore missus to tears. We tend to have One on mostly, if at all. Actually we watch a lot less telly than we used to. It's on a lot during the late afternoon and early evening for the kids (until we chase them outside or upstairs), so for aesthetic reasons I'm glad we will be able to have CBBC and Cbeebies in HD as SD doesn't look great on our TV.
