Why stop there? Netgears CG4500 is already CableLabs certified (last Dec)for 24x4 DOCSIS3 with Puma6 and MaxLinear MxL267 24-channel DOCSIS 3.0 receiver? In fact it was only because Cable Labs doesn't currently have 24x8 test capability that it was limited to 4 bundled upstreams!
(It's also had it's 802.11n dual band upgraded recently to 802.11ac and re-versioned.

However, unfortunately that'll be far more than VM can provision for next 5, possibly 10 yrs!
