Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window

Mike Ashley looks set to re-list Newcastle United as for sale.

Ashley wants £267 million for Newcastle United.

£167 million likely as club value and £100 million as what he's owed personally as the money that wrote off Newcastle's debts.

To compare we'll take Manchester City who were last sold for £200 million and Liverpool who were last sold for £300 million, so £267 million for Newcastle United is a very big ask, fair enough you can factor in the stadium and potential after the 5th place finish but one mistake and a bomb goes off like it did with the sacking of Keegan followed by Relegation. It's not stable enough to call for £267 million.

Statement released from the NUST
Quote:
This house declares that Mike Ashley is not a fit and proper custodian of a footballing institution that has a proud history and tradition, and enjoys one of the biggest and most fervent followings in European football.

”We call for Mike Ashley to consider his position as owner of Newcastle United and to begin a process of exiting before he does any more damage to either the club or his own reputation.“
