Essentially yes, the club debt is not payable to anyone but Mike Ashley so the club is essentially debt free and anyone who wished to buy the club would pay e.g £250 million for the club, £150m value and £100m owed to Mike Ashley.

ALAN SHEARER has had his name ripped away from St James’ Park — hours after his scathing attack on the current Newcastle regime.
The Toon legend used his SunSport column to blast owner Mike Ashley and his appointment of director of football Joe Kinnear.
And today it was announced that the stadium’s iconic Shearer’s Bar will be renamed Nine after his shirt number.
The club were quick to play down the move, stating it was merely a coincidence and part of an overhaul of the venue which opened in 2004.
But fans saw it as yet another antagonising move from under-fire supremo Ashley.
Michael Martin, editor of Toon fanzine True Faith, said: “There is absolutely no reason for the renaming of Shearer’s Bar.”
Fan Graeme Dawson blasted: “Renaming Shearer’s Bar is an absolute disgrace.”
Former Sky Sports host Richard Keys tweeted: “Childish. Outrageous. Small minded. Insulting. I could go on.
“Enough Mike Ashley. Alan Shearer is the living embodiment of Newcastle Utd.”
