It's a pity MS couldn't have worked a compromise:
24 hour check-ins: Family Sharing etc. is available.
Play offline using disc-based authentication: Family Sharing is disabled until you go back online.
Oh, and this also means you won't be able to instantly switch from one game to another, as you'll need to put the disc in.
You can turn the Kinect off. It doesn't have to be staring and listening all the time.
I'm probably going to stick with my current plan of Xbox One at launch, PS4 next year.
But the loss of the Family Sharing is very annoying... That was one way to set aside the £80 price difference.
