Never to the extent of twenty million and never for just one player still it's a neat tactic you attempt to employ every time someone criticises Liverpool, to try and compare the criticism to the other persons club but when it comes to wasting money Liverpool are the best even city and Chelsea don't come close because they can afford it.

I think it's safe to say we had our high times too early in the Premier League, The Entertainers Era is long gone and the following Gascoigne, Shearer, Beardsley, Waddle, Bruce, Pallister, Robson are long gone with it. How much money could these guys produce in this era of football? If Shearer was going for a world record £15m back then, how much would he have gone for today? We finished runners up granted and played in a few Champions League campaigns and whilst we blew it, it would not be the same today, the money we'd earn would be ridiculous and brighten the horizon for Newcastle. Another team I feel for is Blackburn Rovers, if they'd won a Premier League this era they'd be rolling in it.

I think you'll find it's lambizi, feel for you, gutted doesn't come close to describing the tone of your recent posts. Thing to remember is no matter how bad it gets owners don't last forever, clubs do, Newcastle will still be there long after Ashley and all the rest of us are gone.
