I did not know that RTE broadcast run a TV News Channel.

Certain programming gets blacked out (e.g. CL footie, ROI internationals etc).

Freeview HD boxes can pick up raw transmissions of these plus TV3, RTE2HD etc in much of NI as well as the restricted broadcasts that VM have.
