The main charge for TiVo is a £49.95 installation fee i.e. covers the actual engineer visit, activation for the 500GB TiVo is £0

And if/when it gets to the point where they have to change you over, then it may well be that VM will absorb the associated costs.

But they aren't there yet. And as has been pointed out before, any mass free install of kit costs a lot of money - that would eventually have to recouped by increased charges to customers
