I would have thought that all of the broadcast steams would be duplicated with possible extra streams available for the connected red button. Yes, it does make it kind of pointless but the connected red button is at a very early stage of development, not really a mass market option at present.

Well, that's certainly not going to happen across all platforms, unless they go for 1/4 resolution streams.
