Unlikely to see the return of BBC HD, but there could be new services when the new DVB-T2 temporary multiplexes are added on DTT.

Why did Virgin put BBC Red Button on Channels 991 to 994 for when Channels 183 to 186 is free?

I would have thought for the same reason freeview put them in the 300 range, they are interactive streams and not channels in their own right.
