Inviting people in doesn't prove anything either way. Eg People can be on their best behaviour when social workers call round to check on children. The importance of what happened is that when the EDL started protesting outside the mosque instead of calling the police the Imam asked them inside the mosque to talk and in the end both parties realised that they had the same objectives which is to stop extremism ,so on that day at least a few extremists ended the day with a different outlook on Muslims
