I'm sure the cloud certainly is the future however were a good few years off that time in my opinion , catchup simply won't replace people recording shows in the short term , as the article states rights issues is a massive stumbling block and many broadcasters currently don't offer any sort of catchup service meaning recording your favourite shows on those channels is essential for the time being , short term I'd much prefer bigger HDD's.
