Football doesn't work like that. It's not a traditional business. It's not as if Manchester City were mid-table or drastically failed.
It is a bit harsh, I do agree. CL group of D'eath. PL - RVP at Utd. League Cup knocked out by Villa. FA Cup, well it meant little. City had Pellegrini down as the next manager prior to the final so the result meant little to Mancinis future at City.

and just to add, put Mancini at Arsenal for the past 7 years and ask yourself if Arsenal would get CL year in year out throughout a slow decline. I have my issues with Wenger but Mancini had the resources. Sorry but I couldn't careless. Inefficiencies.
