I am on 4GEE as I upgraded to a 4G ready phone on Orange and the equivalent tariff on EE was only £5 dearer than I was paying with Orange and I think it was definitely worth it just to get the same (sometimes better) performance when browsing out and about as I get when connected to WiFi. Plus when you're in busy areas 3G tended to go either incredibly slow or not work at all, don't have that problem with 4G.
