There are many, many people who just do not want/need TiVo's functionality for whom it is a very bad deal.

The only thing I agree with you is if you are on XL TV pack there is no monthly charge for the V+ box! I don't know if it is me but the TiVo is very simple to use PVR, sorry that is my view and probably a lot of members on this forum will agree with this statement
