So record the standard version, never overly concerned about HD version (oft using plus 1s).

that said...maybe it is because you need HD for sport to distract you from the game (marvel at the image), whilst the shows have a story I focus on

Yes, i used the royal "need". One doesn't actually "need" Hd for sport, but one does like it
