1. Thought it might be interesting to show how different presentation of same numbers can give different impression, e.g. PL distributions

2. The Premier League distributes £189m (15%) of its annual revenue (£1.3bn) outside the Premier League. Yay.


3. But half (£91m) is Parachute Payments (-> imbalance in Championship) & only £99m (8%) pure external payments. Boo.


4. Since current TV deal started, external payments grew 31%, nearly twice 17% growth in distrib'n to PL clubs. Yay.


5. But most of revenue growth since current TV deal started went to PL clubs (£137m) with just £23m externally. Boo.


6. See how easy it is? Caveat emptor (or something like that).
