Not harsh at all ,Arthurs sons disability is not affecting Arthurs ability to work full time .I fully understand that in some cases there is a need for a carers allowance if the state won't care for the disabled in care homes or day centers and the disability is bad enough to stop both parents working or there is only 1 parent but in a lot of cases i think the carers allowance is far too generous

how is voicing an opinion on what i see as a very generous part of the welfare system out of order .You really need to calm down a bit and remember that carers allowance is a relatively new benefit and before that parents where expected to cope and they did for the most part .One of my wifes nephews has been told he has ADHD his mother gets a carers allowance and any number of benefits on top of that and yet the kid still goes to school as normal ,she doesn't need to work ,her husband works full time as a plumber so i have got to ask myself what the hell is the benefit for .
